The Forest Gump collection is very real. It’s stacked up in the corner of his barbershop. Franklin Barbershop in Des Moines is a great place to get your hair cut. I’m actually going in there today to work on my mullet.

They made fun in a 'roast' kind of way which is cool. He clearly understood - before the show even took an interest - that it was a decidedly eccentric thing to do, and it's nice he has a great deadpan sense of humour about it. And the wife is just as cool.

He’s not joking. I’m one of his best friends… I see your hairdresser - he is also a barber. He owns a wacky, popular barbershop in Des Moines. At some point within the past couple years he started inviting all of his customers to find and bring in copies of Forrest Gump Tapes as some sort of incentive program (what the prize is I have no idea) and they play Forrest Gump almost every day in the barbershop. It’s called Franklin Barber Shop. :)

When I first started watching this, I thought this guy was nuts. The more I watched it though, I love this. He’s creating his own video store museum of sorts. He really did a great job. Btw, I hope someone gives these two a show, they’re awesome and hilarious. Erin is freakin’ adorable, too btw.
